Every time I listen to something great from NFAK, I feel what more can he give me now?, well he always proves me wrong with something new, better and greater … Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was a living “University Of Music” in himself, If a man can grab the familiar tunes and musical environment of a country just by listening to their TV advertisements, and then incorporate it in his music almost instantly….then, Jeff Buckley was absolutely right in quoting “he did’nt play music, he was the music”. Back to story… yesterday I heard something amazing from NFAK, a fusion of Classical Music, Folk Music & Western tunes… A great composition & innovation… While NFAK sings Raga Tilak Kamot, Taraman Naz & Salama Aga(fame, Dil Ke Armaan) sings folk and contemprory music respectively, surrounded by all sorts and varities of classical as well as western instuments… Everything perfectly into place.
